December 19, 2009, at St. Nicholas' Day, at the gym of secondary school
№ 111 named by S.A. Kovpak in Darnytsa district of the capital Kiev was
hold All Ukrainian Judo Tournament, devoted to the 66th anniversary of
the Kiev liberation from nazi invaders. For the awards were wrestled
133 young judoka, born in between 1997-99, representing 19 teams from
seven regions of Ukraine. Kiev was represented by eight teams.
Our pupil Andrew Boyko (foto) finished third in the weight category 60 kg, letting to won Sergei Krivchach (1 seat, Kharkov) and Alexander Duhnevich (2nd place, Kharkov), splitting the podium with Artem Ubilava (Kiev). Medals were handed by Gennadiy Beloded (a two-time European champion, winner of the World Judo Championship).
Also the Ceremony attended World Judo Champion - George Zantaraya and
Junior Judo World Champion - Kedjau Nyabali.
